Child Benefits

Degree of Honor offers a number of benefits to support your family in times of need when tragedy may strike.

Surviving Orphan Children Benefit
Insured children orphaned by the death of both parents receive financial assistance throughout youth when at least one parent was also an insured member.

Stillborn Child Benefit
A death benefit is payable for a stillborn child when one  parent is an insured member, provided that the stillbirth occurs after the 20th week of pregnancy but before delivery.
 
Uninsurable Child Benefit
This special program provides an insurance policy, up to $3,000 face amount, for uninsurable children at standard rates before attaining the age of 60 days and a rated premium if the child is beyond 60 days.
 
Newborn Death Benefit
This special program provides death benefits for uninsured newborn children of an insured member before attaining the age of 60 days of age.
 
School Bus Accident
If an insured child dies because of an accident on a chartered school bus traveling for any school activity, the beneficiary of the policy receives an additional 50% of the face value of the child's policy not to exceed $5,000, whichever is less.
