MEMBER BENEFITS*
  • Family Grants - Each year, Degree of Honor Foundation awards $1,000 to families to help cover expenses incurred for child or senior day care expenses, elementary and secondary school costs, including extracurricular fees and continuing education or college fees.
  • Scholarships - The Degree of Honor Foundation awards numerous scholarships based on cumulative grade point average and community service to both high school seniors and students who have completed two years of college so they can continue their higher education.
  • $2,000 Accidental Death Benefit - All insured adult members are eligible for this benefit at no cost.
  • Educational Loans - Insured members enrolled in an accredited college or vocational school may be eligible to borrow funds for tuition expense.
  • Helping Hands - The national office will match (up to $150) the money a lodge or club raises to be given to a chosen member in need. This grassroots approach puts support and help exactly where its needed.
  • Disaster relief - Members in need who are victims of natural disasters such as fires, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes or earthquakes may receive financial aid.
  • Volunteer of the Year award - A contest is held annually, rewarding adult and youth members with trips to the national convention for their leadership and involvement in Degree of Honor events and community service activites as well as volunteer work with other charitable organizations.
  • Honor U™ Programs - Benefits and opportunities offered exclusively to youth members of Degree of Honor.
  • Uninsured children - There are a number of benefits that may be available for those children without insurance, but have at least one parent insured with Degree of Honor.
  • Volunteer Opportunities - Degree of Honor has a number of volunteer projects they are involved in over the year. If you would like to join us or if you have a project you would like other members to help you out with, contact a local organizer in your area or Mary Jane Solum in our Home Office.

Degree of Honor has two types of members, do you know which you are?.
  • If you are insured under a Degree of Honor Life Insurance or Annuity policy, you are an Insured Member.
  • If you don't have an insurance or annuity policy with Degree of Honor, but pay membership dues of $5.00 per year, you are a Social Member.
