Types of help that may be offered:
- Money. The amount of money that your lodge or service club raises or uses from its general fund, to be given to your chosen member, will be matched by the Home office, up to $150. When the home office receives a completed signed form and check, they will send a check, including the match to your member. Be sure to include the member's full name and address on the form.
- Time and Services. If your lodge or club decides to donate time and services to your chosen member (for example, build a ramp into their home, paint a house or any other project that requires extra materials to complete) the Home Office will pay the cost of the materials needed to complete the project, up to $150.
To receive this money, you must submit copies of the bills to the Home office. A reimbursement check will be mailed to your local unit.
In this case, no money will be given to the member by the National Office.
RULES
- The recipient must be a member of Degree of Honor and the recipient is eligible for this assistance only once. Extenuating circumstances may receive special consideration.
- Prior approval must be obtained for the proposed project by filling out a form and sending it to the National Office.
